On the 15th May 2012 the European Parliament hosted a Conference entitled: “Peace in the Middle East”. The latter was organised by the European Foundation for Freedom at the initiative of Mep Andreas Molzer, Mep Fiorello Provera and Mep Philip Claeys. Speakers at the conference included respected leaders from both the Israeli and the Arab side, who, for the first time, were able to discuss the issue of Peace in the Middle East from the point of view of the people who will be most affected by the decision of the political leaders.
During the last quarter of the year The European Alliance for Freedom together with the European Foundation for Freedom conducted a telephone survey in six different Member States namely Austria, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, UK and France. Throughout the survey the European citizens in the different states were asked a set of questions on the role and competences of the Union, including: economic and social concerns, the Unions credibility regarding international issues and how strongly they agreed with Turkey joining the European Union.
This report shall be analyzing how UKIP MEPs voted during the period of January 2010 until July 2010 in comparison to the members of the European Alliance for Freedom.
