Internship (m/f)

The European Foundation for Freedom offers internships of one month to maximum one year for young motivated individuals that share common interest for contemporary politics from Europe and world-wide. The internship programme is intended to provide the trainees with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of European affairs and to have an insight into the daily work of the European institutions in Brussels. This is an excellent experience for young individuals aspiring to pursue a career in the area of European politics. The added value of an internship with the European Foundation for Freedom is the possibility to be involved in political activities and in the creation of new policy concepts at a European level.

The internship is focused on immersing the successful candidates in the short-term and long-term policy research and other activities of the Foundation: organizing meetings and conferences, preparing reports and analysis, editing the newsletter, content generation for the web-site. The programme specially addresses young individuals engaged in politics, native speakers of an EU language.Computer and internet literate and with good knowledge of European politics. Additional educational qualifications, experience in policy research and adequate knowledge of one or two more languages are considered assets. Previous experience from a European Institution highly desirable.

Internships are remunerated on a level comparable to the internship programmes offered at the European institutions. There is no application deadline, applications are accepted on a rolling basis and internships are granted depending on demand throughout the year.

Researcher – Administrative Assistant (m/f)

The European Foundation for Freedom is looking for a Researcher-Administrative Assistant.

The selected candidate will join a small, but dedicated team, located in Malta and Brussels. The team works in close cooperation with the European Alliance for Freedom.

The role of the Resercher-Administrative Assistant is to provide complete administrative and secretarial support to ensure an overall smooth running of the Foundation, organize meetings and conferences, prepare reports and analysis, and edit the newsletter, content generation for the web-site.

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

·         Native speakers of Croatian

·         Fluent in English, German and Italian

·         Minimum 4 years  working experience in an international environment

·         Working experience from an EU Institution

·         Thorough knowledge of Croatian and European politics

 

Additional educational qualifications, experience in policy research and adequate knowledge of other EU languages are considered assets.
